Scottish Warriors are pleased to announce their new sponsor: Top Paintball Equipment manufacturer DYE Precision Ltd

Scottish Warriors team captain Tony Linsday said: “We are absolutely thrilled at this opportunity. We have been looking at DYE for a few years now, seeing the kind of developments they have been bringing to the industry. Unfortunately last year when they approached us, we had already signed with our previous sponsor. With the release of the new Tactical range and the fantastic NT11 marker, this partnership is going to bring together the top company in paintball and the top scenario paintball team.”

The Scottish Warriors will be using the new NT11 marker, along with the I4 goggles, Rotor loader and the awesome new range of DYE Tactical wear. Look out for the team at all the Super6 Series, and virtually every other big game in the UK!

Look out for the official press release from DYE next week!

23 Feb 2011 - Announcing the latest Scottish Warrior!

Scottish Warriors Add To The Ranks...

UK scenario paintball Team of the Year 2010, The Scottish Warriors, are very please to announce their latest additon to the line up - the one and only Tony "Littletone" Weldon.

“Littletone is one of the best known characters in the UK scenario paintball community" said Scottish Warriors team captain Tony Lindsay.  “He brings boundless drive and determination to our team and we are all looking forward to seeing him play under the Scottish Warriors colours.”

The inclusion of Tony brings the team up to 18 Warriors for the 2011 season.

"I have to say a big thanks to Tony (Lindsay) and all the guys for the invite to join the Scottish Warriors" said Littletone.  "For many years I have been either running at them, or along with them, and I have respected the aggressive and positive playing style of the team."

Litletone was keen to point out there was more than just the Warriors on-field antics to attract him.  "Socially too they have always been a favorite of mine.  As soon as you get to the bar they are there in numbers to back you up and 'help' you carry the pints"

It was also a hard decision for Littletone to make, but it came at the right time for him.

"With the Fennys all but faded, and missing being part of a big team charge, it was the call I'd been waiting for." he said. "I can't wait to be at the front of one of the Scottish Warriors attacks.  With the all the hard work and support the Scottish Warriors gives to the Industry and the game, it will be an honor to become part of this, and part of another legendary team."

Asked if he wanted to add anything else, Littletone quipped:

"I wonder if I can get a Scottish phrase book on amazon....."

04 Dec 2010 - A Thank You From The Scottish Warriors

A Thank You from the Scottish Warriors

Following the triumph at the UK Paintball Awards, The Scottish Warriors paintball team would like to say Thank You to all those involved with the team this year on various levels.

Firstly, we all want to thank those who have voted for us at the UK Paintball Awards.” said team captain Tony Lindsay.  “It was a great honour for all of us to once again take home the Team of the Year Award, and for me to lift the General’s prize.

Tony credits his success as General of the Year to the quality of the teams he has lead in many of the games this year.

It’s been a great year for leading teams.  There have been some great scenarios and some great teams playing alongside us.  Between those teams and certain individuals, my job has been made easier and they share the credit too."

There were also thanks from Scottish Warrrior Ian Pinchen, who lifted the Male Player of the Year Award.

Ian said “It was very humbling to be nominated for the award by the UK paintball player base.  I am completely taken aback at winning this award, but it shows what can be done with a strong team like the Scottish Warriors along side you.

As part of the Scottish Warriors plans to keep being at the forefront of UK Scenario paintball, the team have recruited two new players.

Cameron “Duals” Fraser is a paintballing veteran.  He first picked up a marker back in 1989 with a Splatmaster.  Cameron got his taste for big games at the first of the North v South events.  Cameron was a founding member of The Hawks team form Tazball in Inverness and played with them until their recent dissolution.  Cameron has played alongside the Scottish Warriors at many events and began to catch the eye of a few of the team.

Joining the Scottish Warriors is a chance of a lifetime.” said Cameron. “It is a chance for me to play with like mind people who enjoy the game but also want to get out there and play as a team.  Hopefully I can be part of helping the Warriors further our reputation as a force to be reckoned with on the field.

Second recruit for the new season is Alex Lochrie.  Although a relative newcomer to paintball, Alex has shown a lot of determination and commitment but also brings a wealth of other experience.

I was gobsmacked to be asked to be part of the team.” said Alex. “I aim to do the name of the Scottish Warriors proud and to repay the faith the Tony, Gaz and the rest of the Warriors have shown.

All in all, it’s looking like a good start to 2011.  But stay tuned for more news coming soon!!
